I went out on the Rockaway the day before blackfish season closed. We had a great trip! We got our limit of some realy nice fish. Great captain and crew. I highly recommend this charter outfit.

What a great time everyone had! The Captain is very knowledgeable and everyone caught multiple fish. The First Mate was extremely helpful and filleted everyone's catch. Very friendly and we will definitely usse Rockaway Sportfishing Charters again. Thank you Drew for your coordination of this event for us.

Watch out for this guy. He picks fights with other boats. Not a pleasant experience.

If you're going to post rude comments that can adversely effect business please tell the whole story. You were fishing so close to us you might as well have left your boat at the dock and just hopped on board with us. Next time save yourself the fuel cost!

Been out on the Rockaway many times, always catch our limit and the mate cuts the filets for us. The captian knew where the fish were and even other boats were following us. Whether you wanna catch blues and stripers or sharks and tuna-the Rockaway knows how to make it happen. We caught so many fish we had trouble reeling them in at the end of the trip.

I have been on the Rockaway 7 times and never been skunked. Stripers are the name of the game and always come home with 4 beautiful fillets. Throw in a blue now and then just makes it even better. Captain John and First Mate Scott are incredible and very helpful, all tackle, and poles are included and first mate does an amazing job filleting our catch on the way in, all bagged and ready for our cooler for the ride home. Very affordable and pleasant experiences every time. Captain John knows exactly where to go and knows how to change it up when fishing gets slow. I highly recommend this charter as being the very best I have ever experienced. Give it a try you won't be dissappointed!! Troll with the umbrella rigs, and try to catch 5 stripers at a time, its like pulling in a shark, best I ever had was 2 but that was enough for me, what a killer great time!!

Out with the rockaway for the 5th time this summer, had an excellent trip, caught our limits and even threw some back. Excellent captain and crew, clean boat and outstanding charter service. highly recommended for a day on the water.

we went out the day of a storm 8/24/09 it was susposed to be rough water, we couldnt ask for a better day,the fishing was great,the water was perfect.we pulled out a lot of huge stripers, a lot of blues.the capt. and mate were the best we couldnt ask for a better crew. they know ware the fish are! if you want to catch fish,these are the guys to go with. we cant wait till the next trip,thanks agin.

Went out last Saturday morning and caught Striper and Blues all day long....Great trip, would definitely do again!!!!
