This was the best fishing trip I have ever been on. We left before daylight and caught some kind of mackeral (four and five at a time) which were kept alive in a bait well.
At daylight we went looking for something to feed them too, first stop an offshore bouy. Seven Mahi Mahi later captain Shannon told me that by looking at the bird activity he thought there were probably tuna in the area so we changed from the light rods we were catching Mahi with and put out the mackeral on heavier gear. Pretty soon we were fighting tuna in the 50 lb range, we ended up with the seven Mahi's and 13 tuna from 20 to 60 lbs.
The icing on the cake was a 250 lb marlin we caught trolling on the way back to the harbor. I would recommend Shannon and the Live Bait to anyone. It's a top notch outfit run by a crew that loves to fish.
