Absolutely sucks!!!
Booked a charter for my brother-in-laws birthday. Capt Peter Murry had no problem cashing the deposit check, then never returned any calls/emails.
We showed up at the dock on time, The Obsessed Charter boat was no where to be seen. After several minutes another boat showed up and the captain on board explained that Peter's boats have been out of order for theast week or so, and that he was to take us out. There was no email or call to inform me of this. Not having much option, we boarded and tried this guy that no one heard of.
This guy was a complete d.b. You could tell he knew nothing of the striper patterns in the area. One member of the party lives 100yds from the pier and was shaking his head at the lack of skill, knowledge or professionalism. We spent 3 1/2 hours trying to catch mackeral for bait. Spent half that time untangling lines from the captain taking off while 3 or 4 lines were still out. Another 30min untangling the propellor from lines that he drifted into. Finally was able to fish for the stripers the last 30 min....what a waste of time.
The good news is that Capt. Peter Murry was able to fix his boat just in time to meet us back at the pier to collect his money....I'm sure he'a a great guy, maybe to the locals...but I drove from CT, and I really felt like I was taken....or given the option to reschedule.
Save your money and time...and stay away from Obsessed Charters.

We went out on their 25' boat yesterday 7/20/2011 and had an amazing day of fishing. There were three adults and three children. They were very accomodating to the needs of the kids which is very important to us. The day started out with a bang just fishing for bait....when we caught our days worth of live mackerel in less than 10 minutes! It was insane! We then went on to catch our full limit of 12 stripers for the 6 of us on the boat. We caught a lot more that we turned loose! It was the best day of fishing I have ever experienced on a charter. We have used a few different charters and from this point forward we will be using Obsessed Charters! We had an amazing captain and first mate. They knew where to go and put us on fish all day long! I highly recommend this charter to anyone! Best of all...the price is reasonable and if you dont catch fish...your next trip is free!!! You will not be uspet with the crew at Obsessed Charters.
