They’re Rude and Unprofessional. We spent last Christmas vacationing on the Keys and I was excited that I finally get a chance to try deep sea fishing in the keys.

My reserved trips with Capt. Michael turned out to be Very Disappointing.

The mate was Very Rude and Unprofessional and the rent rod is almost Useless.

I am familiar with the operation of various types of fishing rods and reels because I spent thousands of dollars annually deep sea fishing in my home state. This means I also know what an adequate party boat experience is supposes to be like.

Capt. Michael’s boat is by far The Worst that I ever stepped on.

The reel is so old that it gave out every time I tried to set the hook when fish were biting. I am pretty sure the mates knew how crappy their rental rods are because they actually came by and criticized me for trying to set the hook when fish were biting. they did that at least twice on separate occasions with a very rude tone when I was using Different rental rods.

They also threw back some fish I caught that were well in compliance with the legal size limit and is in season. I assume that is simply because they are too lazy to sort the fish among the catches. They only stopped doing that After I pointed out what they were trying to pull.

I felt that these guys on this boat assume vacationing tourist has no idea what deep sea fishing is so they can get a way with doing anything and saying anything that is wildly inappropriate and unprofessional.

Needless to say I am NOT using them in the future.
