We had a great outing with John. He was prompt in the morning, prepared and ready to lauch, has top notch equipment and good knowledge of fishing. The action started off slow but with John's persistantce and wealth of knowledge of waleyes and the bay we soon found a "hot spot" and limited out for the day. It didnt appear many other boats got their limit that day but we did. Good job John for a enjoyable day.

I was extremely pleased with my experience fishing with John. He had great knowledge combined with a great fishing boat and great equipment. He really went out of his way to ensure we had a great time on the water! I hope to enjoy a repeat trip at some point in the future.

My son and I bid on a 1/2 day walleye trip with John with the intent that John would show me the ropes on catching walleye's on the bay and my son could catch his first walleye. Fifteen walleyes later we were hooked. When it comes to fishing and professionalism John has it covered. We enjoyed our trip so much we have booked him again for mid August.

My dad, friend and I went out with John last weekend and had a blast. We caught a lot of great fish. We learned a lot from John he knows a lot about fishing Walleyes!! He always knows when to adjust when the fish do. I would differently recommend going out with John fishing you will have a great time!!!

An excellent day considering the weather conditions were not idea. Capt John was still able to find fish. Had a lot of action. Capt John makes sure everyone has a good time and flexible to make sure your outing is an excellent one. Very knowledgeable and willing to discusss fishing techniques. I've went fishing with capt. John of westshore outfitters now for the past 2 years and have always had a great time, Capt. John knows all the right spots to go to catch what you want and I've never been disappointed, we always catch fish even on the bad days. I've been fishing with John for many years and he is very professional and has a true passion for the sport of fishing. He works very hard at making his clients have an enjoyable time out on the water. He is always on top of the latest and greatest fishing equipment out there. If it's new on the market - Captain John has it on his boat. He will guarantee you an enjoyable time on the water and you will catch walleye, small mouth bass, or muskie...whatever you are fishing for. I would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone.

I have fished with Captain John mulitple outings this past year. One thing you will notice when you head out, his boat, gear, tackle and rods are second to none. If you want to fish and have a great time, then Captain John is the way to go. Never went out that he was not able to get on some walleyes. If action is what you want, we had all 6 boards go back and actual caught them all. This happened more than once. How many people can have that experience. What a blast. SO no question, he can get on the fish. His knowledge on the bay from fishing is some of the local tournaments seems to have paid off. If you are booking a trip for the first time, Captain John is the one to book with for a great fishing experience.

Captain John took me, my uncle and My brother out fishing on the bay and we had a blast. I have been fishing in Canada a lot, but the size of the walleyes on the bay is amazing. Captain John is very knowledgeable in fishing the bay and put us on fish right away. We moved to many spots and always caught fish. I would strongly recommend Westshore Outfitters if you are interested in catching fish. Many thanks Captain John for an incredible time. We will be back again.

I have been fishing with John a few times now and every time has been a success. I had the opportunity to go bass fishing with Mr. Hynes on Shawano Lake. He advised me on what kind of bait to use and next thing I knew I had was catching fish. I also had the opportunity to fish with Mr. Hynes on the bay for walleyes. I remember that day being overcast and it looked like it was going to storm any second. But John didn't hesitate, we were going fishing. After a pass through Mr. Hynes was able to recognize where the fish were sitting that day. After a couple hours it started pouring. We told John he could head in but he refused and insisted we do at least another pass through.
After my experiences fishing with Mr. Hynes my interest for the sport has grown significantly because of his passion for the sport. He truly enjoys being out on the water and being a part of the memories my dad and I shared out on the water that day. Thanks again!

I fished with John in sturgeon bay for smallmouths and the bay for walleyes. Both trips were extremely enjoyable. He knew what the fish were doing and how to catch them. His boat,rods, and all equipment are like new or are new. The quality of these fisheries are world class. The size and numbers are unreal. If you have not fished the bay you should, you really don't know what you are missing!

My family was in from overseas and asked about fishing in our area, being a avid fisherman myself I wanted to show them a good time. I remember hearing the name Westshore Outfitters mentioned in the local bait shop as being one of the premier guides out of the Green Bay port, we didn't have much time for a heads up to book a trip, luckily John was gracious enuf to rearange his personal time to get our group out the next day. We started out slow but John made a decision about an hour in, to move and change tactics. And BAM ! we were catching good numbers of walleyes sometimes two at a time, which he refered to as "doubles". We had a great time and memories for a lifetime. Thanks again Mr Hynes !!

I have now gone fishing with Captain John 5 times. Every outing has been great for me and my son. Most of those outings we were on the fish right away, but the real test of a guide is can they put on you the fish when others can't find them. A couple times fishing with him we didn't get any action right away. It didn't take him but a couple passes and he realized it's time to move. There may be those days where you have to try many spots to get some action, but because he knows the Bay so well, your chances are great. We have been successful every outing. The last thing I'll say is that if you are looking for a guide that enjoys it, Caption John is the one. He sincerely enjoys putting his crew on fish and watching them reel them in.

I would HIGHLY recommend Westshore Outfitters!

My boys and I had an absolutely wonderful time fishing with Captain John. His knowledge of fishing the Bay, is second to none. One of the things I liked best about fishing with Westshore Outfitters, was that not only did we catch some very nice fish, but John was more than happy to explain everything from the equipment he uses, the presentations he fished, the area he was fishing, what he looked for, etc. So not only did he help us catch fish that day, but he also taught us some things to help us to catch more fish in the future.
